All is quiet on New Year's Day.......Not so much in Room 181! As we begin 2016, students have been challenged to be risk-takers this term. We are working in class to help students develop the confidence to take calculated chances in their lives. We are encouraging students to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes on a daily basis! I am enthusiastic about the opportunities and future implications this will have for students.
This week we started our new Unit of Inquiry - How We Express Ourselves. Students will be inquiring into how the discovery and expression of ideas have the power to inform and influence others. I am very excited about our Genius Hour this term! All students, regardless of teacher, will be investigating cultural masks and poetry. Please check back next week for pictures of our Science inquiries into the states of matter.
Be on the lookout next week for Literary Cafe homework. Students will receive this assignment on Monday.
